The Joint Qualifications Council has drawn up a timetable stating that the GCSE examinations will begin on 16 May and end on 28 June. Therefore, exams will begin in May, usually on Monday of the second week. As I said before, the date changes according to the year, but the same rule applies to each review period (unless there are unforeseen circumstances that cannot be taken into account). The GCSE exams will be held in May and June, as usual, and the examining boards have already published their summer final exam schedules.
The GCSE exams will begin with a first English test on Monday, May 24 and the math exam 1 on Tuesday, May 25.While different exam boards have different schedules, GCSEs are largely held from Monday, May 14 to Friday, June 22 (with one rare exception).
